I need a new Tuesday workout

I have a serious love/hate relationship with Plyometrics.  I LOVE it.  The workout, the feeling I get after, the sense of accomplishment, the sweat, ALL of that.. I really do love it.  But OMG It's so emotionally draining I can't take it.

When I was pseudo-married, working out became our couple time.  Plyo in particular was really great for us.  We'd line up and do the moves.  We'd stare each other in the eyes and really focus on one another.  We pushed each other.  (Especially after the break up lol.. neither of us wanted to quit first!--don't ask we complicated things way more than we should have.) I still find myself lining up on "my" side of the room for Double Airborne Heisman.. And not knowing where to look during swing kicks or circle run.  Plyo Day has become an emotional nightmare.  I need a plan B stat.  How I can take care of his kids every day, talk to him most days and be generally ok with things, then fall apart on Plyo day I'll never understand.

I'm trying to decide how much of this is PMS related and how much is Plyo related.  I'm willing to bet it's the first vs the second.  Today was rough.  I'm tired.  35 min of plyo done.  If next week is this hard I'm gonna start subbing with kenpoX.  This is probably a sign that I need to just break down and order P90X2.. I could use a new program that doesn't carry so much baggage.

Lila was particularly cute today.  During the lungs sequence she'd follow me and every time I got into a really deep lunge she'd push my butt up to help me.. clearly, that's not a natural position for Mama to be in.  I tried to get a pic of her deep prayer squats, but she's on to me.. I'll keep trying cause, Oh man, that's adorable!

Anyone else feel like a slug on Saturdays? - Day 16- Done

Saturday is supposed to be KenpoX day, but I did that Thursday in lieu of YogaX.. Sooo I think I'm gonna mix it up with a little Plyo today.  My weekend bloating started early, I gained 6lbs over night between Friday morning and Saturday morning.  I was up 8lbs from Friday morning to Friday evening.. WOW.. How does that even happen? Ah PMS.. That's how.  My attitude sucks, I'm retaining water, my apt is a mess.. Yep, all the signs are there.  Until recently, I had a Mirena IUD.  I didn't notice major cycle changes on my body.. This will take some getting used to.  I don't like it at all.  I'll update when I get it done.  Baby's napping on me right now.. sounds like time to fold laundry or something else that means I don't have to sweat yet.

40 min of Plyo done.  I'm not so sure doing plyo the day after legs and back is a good idea.  I'll have to think on that one.  I'm drained.

Ok I'm showered and dressed and I feel a million times better than before the meltdown.  lol

This is today 256lbs.. I'm kinda squinty, but whatever.  :)

Holy Crap.. Day 12- You are not going to believe what I did!

Tuesday is Plyometrics-- Plyo puts the X in P90X.. It's the mother of all workouts (Tony also says that about Monday's chest and back.. I think he gets confused)

It's 60 min of pretty intense cardio.  A lot of jumping, a lot of squats and a lot of lunges.  "This ain't no aerobics class from the '70s."   And I kicked it's ass! Today is the first time since I started doing these workouts almost 9 months ago that I finished the whole damn dvd.  On a good day I'll get 45 min done.  Lately, I use that term loosely, I haven't really worked out in 2 months, I'm doing good to do 30 min before I throw my hands up.  You know, life happens, baby wants you, phone rings.. or if you're really looking for an excuse like me, your email chimes.  Yep.. I've had to stop working out to get that all important spam email.  The point is, it doesn't take much to get me off track.

I'm also down 3lbs from yesterday.  See not real weight.  Today I'll be more diligent with the water.  Yesterday I slacked off quite a bit.
